Safari Itinerary

Day One

Nairobi – Tsavo West
We will pick you up at 8:00 am from your residence and will use the 4×4 Tour Van which is Comfy and efficient for rough weather terrains. After an early breakfast, we shall warm up to the wonderful tour ahead.

Departure from Nairobi will be at 8:30 am for Tsavo via the Nairobi – Mombasa highway. On reaching Tsavo West we shall enjoy a game viewing en-route. We shall check into our luxurious Rhino Valley Lodge and thereafter have lunch. Soon afterward, we shall proceed for an afternoon game drive and get a superb opportunity to see the descendants of the famous “Man-Eaters of Tsavo”.

Day Two

Tsavo West
This is another fun-filled day in this wonderful park. After we enjoy our relaxed breakfast before we excitedly begin our panorama viewing game drive. Watching the beautiful sunrise we shall see how daybreak is welcomed in the wild amid the freshness and beauty of the morning.

We look on as the grazers and hunters move on undisturbed by our presence. We will head for the Mzima Springs where we view Hippos, African Crocodiles, Fish and a variety of Bird species. During the drive, we will proceed and visit the “Five Sisters” which is a sight to behold.

We will then proceed to the Mzima springs which are the source for water used by Mombasa people. At around 1:00 pm, we will have our yummy packed lunch and relax before the next adventure. We will visit the Shetani Lava and enjoy a guided walk for 30 minutes.

Thereafter, we will have another stunning game drive en-route to our Lodge or new home for our mouth-watering dinner. With luck, we will be able to see the elusive Leopard. They are agile and stealthy predators.

Although smaller than other members of the Panthera genus, they are able to take large prey due to their massive skulls that facilitate powerful jaw muscles. Dinner and overnight at the Superb Lodge.

Day Three

Tsavo West – Nairobi
This is our last day in the World renown National Park. Getting up at 6:30 am, we will have a light breakfast and morning game drive, during which we will take sunrise photos as we track the “Red Elephants”.

We can’t leave the park without visiting the Cheetah circuit and with luck, we might witness the fastest animal making a kill.

Tsavo West is home to over 600 Bird species. This Park lies on one of the main migration routes for northern hemisphere birds including Eleonora’s Falcon and the Sooty Falcon. Beautiful Birds in Tsavo include; the Turaco, Ostrich, Starlings, Jacana, Vultures, Guinea fowl, Wabbler, Hornbill among others.

The bird life in Tsavo West is as varied as the landscape; from the conspicuous flocks of Golden-breasted Starlings around most of the park, the Evergreen Forest Warbler and Hartlaub’s Bustard are in plenty. Tsavo’s position on the migration route makes it a good place to spot some of the rarer migrant African skimmers, red bishops among others.

At 10:00 we will head back to camp for our main breakfast. After this, we will relax for 30 minutes appreciating Tsavo’s serenity. Departure to Nairobi will be at 11:00 am having had a memorable African experience because Tsavo West is mostly “an untamed wilderness of secluded splendor”.

Hot yummy lunch will be at Mtito Andei town. The Expected Time of Arrival in Nairobi is 5:00 pm.

After this Wilderness Safari, we can plan for Amboseli Elegant Safari, Great Lakes Safari, Mount Kenya 4 Days Expedition, Kilimanjaro Expedition, Kenya Coast Holiday, Zanzibar Holiday or another Safari as in line with your Aspirations.
