Green Ranger Safaris team welcomes you to a thrilling lifetime mountaineering experience with the Mount Kenya Expedition, Sirimon Route – 4 days safari.
Mount Kenya is the highest mountain in Kenya and the second-highest in Africa, after Kilimanjaro. The highest peaks of the mountain are Batian (5,199 meters (17,057 ft)), Nelion (5,188 metres (17,021 ft)) and Point Lenana (4,985 meters (16,355 ft)).
Mount Kenya is located in central Kenya, just south of the equator, around 150 kilometers north-northeast of the capital Nairobi. Mt. Kenya is the origin of the name of the Republic of Kenya. The Batian and Nelion peaks are separated by the “Gate of the Mists” a deep notch which is very difficult to cross.
It is a long climb and considered more serious and difficult. Point Batian and Nelion are only for very experienced rock climbers. Batian Climb takes 8 Days and is a very demanding route! Lenana Peak is very scenic and offers one a perfect challenge to accomplish. Its highest point has excellent views of the striking Mountain!
