Victoria Falls Scenic Safari 2016 (16 days): 19th Dec 2016 to 3rd Jan 2017 is designed to give you a wonderful experience with memories to cherish for a lifetime. We will explore and experience life in different locations and cities of the countries visited i.e. Arusha, Dodoma, Kande Beach, Lilongwe, Lusaka, Livingstone and others.

Safari Itinerary

Day One – 19th December 2016: Nairobi – Arusha – Babati (Tanzania)

6:00 am: Meeting at the city market, Nairobi
6:30 am: Departure Time (Strictly).

We will commence with the tour leader’s briefing and then start our Victoria Falls Scenic Safari 2016. We shall have packed lunch en-route. There’ll be a 30-minute stop-over in Arusha. Babati is located along Arusha – Dodoma road in the Rift Valley, south of Lake Manyara National Park.

Day two – 20th December 2016: Babati – Dodoma (Capital city) – Iringa

We will drive through the beautiful countryside and arrive in Dodoma at 11:00 am. After a 30 minute Dodoma city tour, we shall proceed with our journey and arrive in Iringa at 6:30 pm.

Day three – 21st December 2016: Iringa – Chitimba Beach Camp (Malawi)

We start early and drive through the beautiful countryside crossing the border by midday. We will arrive at the lovely beach of Chitimba at 5:00 pm. Lake Malawi is known for diving and fishing. It is commonly known as the Lake of Stars.

Day four – 22nd December 2016: Chitimba – Kande Beach

At 7:00 am we will begin our journey from Chitimba to Kande Beach, through a very scenic countryside. Our drive takes us through panoramic views of the Chitimba hills and the escarpment below. We will arrive at Kande beach at 4:00 pm.

Day five – 23rd December 2016: Kande Beach

We will spend a full day at Kande beach and enjoy various activities such as swimming, games, relaxing etc. Kande Beach is one of the best beaches in Africa to chill and relax with pure white sandy beaches and clear blue water safe from pollution.

Day six – 24th December 2016: Kande Beach – Chipata (Zambia)

We will start early and drive from Kande beach, with the aim of arriving in Chipata at 4:00 pm.

Day seven – 25th December 2016: Chipata – Lusaka City

We will depart from Chipata at 7:00 am. Arrival in Lusaka shall be at 4:00 pm. Lusaka – in the Southern part is the Capital and the largest City of Zambia. This is a day to relax and enjoy the cool evening hours at the lovely Eureka Camp. There’ll also be a cultural night competition. (Winner gets a prize).

Day eight – 26th December 2016: Lusaka – Livingstone Town (Home to the Majestic Victoria Falls)

On day eight, we will have an early start from Lusaka. We will arrive in Livingstone at 3:00 pm, settle and unwind. You are all invited to enjoy a cool swim in the well maintained swimming pool. Livingstone town was established in 1905 and was named after Dr. Livingstone who explored this area extensively.

Day nine – 27th December 2016: Livingstone Town

This will be a full day dedicated to the Victoria Falls Scenic Walking Safari. We will drive at the famous falls for a guided walk… It is an amazing experience to watch the 500,000,000 litres of water flowing – resulting in the world’s largest sheet of falling water! No wonder the local people call it Mosi-oa-Tunya: The Smoke that Thunders!

Optional activities include: Cruise safaris, rafting, bungee jumping, helicopter safaris and others.

Day ten – 28th December 2016: Livingstone – Botswana day tour – Livingstone

We will depart from Livingstone at 7:00 am for Botswana via the Kazungula ferry (optional). You can choose to visit Zimbabwe instead of doing the Botswana day trip. For the Botswana day trip, we will cross the border and proceed to Chobe National Park for a game drive. After the grandeur 6-hour game drive, we will head back to Livingstone for our overnight stay. This is also a good day to do your laundry.

Day eleven – 29th December 2016: Livingstone – Lusaka city (Zambia)

We start off at 8:00 am for our journey from Livingstone to Lusaka. On arrival, we will have a Lusaka City tour. This encompasses a visit to various points of interest around the city including the Lusaka museum, the local village market, a drive through Cairo road, and visits to other government buildings and national monument sites. Local crafts shop stops can be arranged should you want to take back a souvenir. Our dinner and overnight stay shall be at the Eureka camp.

Day twelve – 30th December 2016: Lusaka – Mpika

The drive from Lusaka to Mpika is one of the best as we get to appreciate the panoramic countryside with large forest cover.

Day thirteen – 31st December 2016: Mpika – Mbeya

We will start off from Mpika at 6:00 am for Mbeya. We will cross the Nakonde – Tunduma border and proceed with our safari. This is one of the busiest border crossing points in Africa: it is always important to be vigilant at all border points. Arrival in Mbeya shall be at 5:00 pm.

Day fourteen – 1st January 2017: Mbeya – Dodoma

Dodoma is the Capital City of Tanzania and one of the best places to visit and relax. We will depart from Mbeya at 7:00 am. Expected arrival in Dodoma – 5:30 pm.

Day fifteen – 2nd January 2017: Dodoma – Arusha

We will depart from Dodoma city at 7:00 am. Arrival in Arusha – 5:30pm. In Arusha, we will have a “nyama choma party” to appreciate the Victoria Falls Scenic Safari 2016. We will also have a Salsa dance and Zumba fitness for 1 hour. These are essential for our legs and body overall fitness. For the party lovers, you can experience Arusha city at night with a local guide (optional). Arusha City is fondly considered as the Safari Capital of Tanzania.

Day sixteen – 3rd January 2017: Arusha – Nairobi

A delicious breakfast shall be served from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. At 10:00 am, we will start off from our campsite and have a guided city tour. This will also be a good time for shopping in Arusha for our loved ones. Additionally, we will visit the Arusha museum, Snake Park. We will then begin our journey back to Nairobi. With a wonderful experience and memories to cherish for a lifetime, we will get to Nairobi at 7:00 pm.

For the long drives, we will be having timely stop-overs to stretch and refresh ourselves then proceed.
The most valuable players during the safari will get prizes – one lady and one gentleman.
