Join us for the Easter Special: Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Duluti and Arusha Safari 2017 (14 – 17 April) – Four Days Splendid Safari

This is a thrilling four-day safari for you to experience the wonders of the world. The Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Duluti and Arusha Safari is a scenic safari and you will truly enjoy yourself. It’s a superb safari and accommodation is at the famous Panorama Camp Site in Tanzania with nice rooms commonly called Igloos.

Basic Information

7:00 am: Meeting at the City Market – near the I&M building. Introductions and a short briefing.
Meal Plan: Three meals per day (day one we will start with dinner).

Ngorongoro Crater sees approximately 450,000 tourists a year.
Ngorongoro Crater is also known as the ‘Garden of Eden’.
Ngorongoro Crater became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
The Crater has the highest density of lions in the world.
The Ngorongoro Crater is 8,300 sq km in size.

Safari Itinerary

Day One: Nairobi – Arusha – Twiga Camp Site

7:30 am: Departure from Nairobi. The expected time of arrival in Arusha is 2:00 pm.
2:00 pm: Arrival in Arusha. Stop over at Nakumatt Arusha (on this day, lunch is own catering).
2:30 pm: Proceed with our journey to arrive at the Superb Twiga Camp Site at 4:00 pm.
4:00 pm: Tent pitching.
5:00 pm: Light exercises, bonding games and swimming.
7:00 pm: Dinner.
8:30 pm – 9:30 pm: Salsa and other Latino dances – all themed white wear.

Day Two: Full Day Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater

7:00 am: Delicious breakfast.
7:30 am: Departure for the Ngorongoro Crater Safari, we will use Tanzanian 4×4 Land Cruizers.

9:00 am: Arrival at the World renowned Ngorongoro Crater. Photo moments to appreciate nature at the rim of the Crater then we proceed down the Crater for a game drive. It’s a World Heritage Site, the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. The crater, which formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago, is 610 metres (2,000 feet) deep.

There is a high abundance of the grazers and predators as well. Approximately 25,000 large animals, mostly ungulates, live in the crater. Large animals in the crater include the Rhinos, Buffalo the Hippos. Additionally, birdlife is very prolific and you will truly enjoy yourself.

1:00 pm: Delicious packed lunch.
2:00 pm: We proceed with our wonderful game drive in the famous Ngorongoro Crater. We will have a memorable afternoon Game Drive searching for the elusive Leopard and other Cats. For the bird watchers, this is superb opportunity to sample the rich bird life.
At 3:00 pm, we will start our journey back to our “lovely home” to relax and enjoy.
5:30 pm: Arrival at the marvelous Panorama Camp Site.
7:00 pm: Dinner.
8:30 pm: Cultural night and mesmerizing campfire.

Day Three: Lake Duluti and Arusha City Tour

7:00 am: Breakfast.
8:00 am: Visit Lake Duluti.
11:00 am: Guided Arusha city tour.
12:00 pm: Shopping for our family members and friends back at home.
3:00 pm: Late lunch at the Panorama Camp Site.
4:00 pm: Swimming and relaxing.
7:00 pm: Delicious dinner.
8:30 pm: For those who would like to sample the nightlife in Arusha, we will have our local guide to show you around. Arusha is commonly known as the Safari Capital of Tanzania.

Day Four: Arusha – Nairobi

8:00 am – 11:00 am: Brunch (breakfast and lunch combined).
11:00 am: Swimming and relaxation.
12:00 pm: Departure from Panorama Camp Site at 12:00 pm for Nairobi.
8:00 pm: Expected time of arrival in Nairobi… with sweet memories to cherish for a lifetime.
